Gaming is at the heart of everything we do

Bizarre Creations has been recently restructured to deal more effectively with the challenges of next generation development. In addition to having two large game development teams, we have a number of shared groups that work across the company, providing services for the development teams and making sure all resources they provide can be shared across the company where needed.

The newest of these groups is our Shared Technology Team, made up of experienced technology experts. The Shared Tech team are tasked with making individual components (for example, fast and stable networking code) which can be applied to any future projects. This saves us having to "reinvent the wheel" for every game we produce, allowing us to build on the knowledge and maturity of previous projects.

Game Development Teams

Amax Team

Veterans of the Project Gotham Racing franchise, Amax team consists of art, code, & design sub teams.

Ravin Team

Creators of Bizarre's next-gen 3rd person shooter The Club, Ravin team also have art, code, & design sub teams.

Shared Resource Teams

Shared Tech Group

  • Tools - streamlining development and providing custom applications.
  • Technologies - development of advanced new technologies.
  • Multiplayer - all shared networking development.

Audio Team

Dedicated audio team, split into Code and Design components. Working across all projects to provide true next-generation sound.

Retro Evolved

A small, experienced team dedicated to new platform development, for example Xbox Live Arcade titles.

Character Team

Shared art team, consisting of Animation and Modelling sub teams. Working across multiple projects to provide next-gen character appearance and movement.

Presentation Team

Working to develop the overall branding of our projects, across areas such as front end menu's, intro movies, boxart design, etc.

Web Development

A small team, working on both outward-facing web sites and internal documentation systems.

Operations

Includes a very busy IT support team and Admin department.

QA Team

A full time, on-site test, feedback and game-balancing team working across multiple projects at all stages of development.

Today: Browser Gaming Focus

While our core team structure principles remain the same, we've evolved our focus to browser gaming and digital art. Our current teams work on curating amazing HTML5 games, Unity WebGL experiences, and showcasing incredible digital art from our creative community. The collaborative approach that made our console games successful now drives our mission to make gaming accessible to everyone through the web.
